Vehicle Description
This 1993 Ferrari 512 TR is a European-market example that was imported to the US by the previous owner in 2019 and is powered by a 4.9-liter flat-12 paired with a five-speed manual transaxle. Finished in Rosso Corsa over beige leather upholstery, the car is equipped with a limited-slip differential, 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels, pop-up headlights, fog lights, air conditioning, power windows, and a gated shifter. An engine-out timing belt service was carried out in 2019, at which time the interior leather was reconditioned, and sealant was applied to the underside. This 512 TR is now offered by WCDM with partial service records, an owner’s manual, an accident-free Carfax report, and a clean BC Registration.
The Pininfarina-designed 512 TR was introduced as the updated successor to the Testarossa in 1991, with revisions that included restyled bumper covers as well as revised wheels and lighting. This example is finished in Rosso Corsa and is equipped with pop-up headlights, fog lights, side intake strakes, body-color rocker panels, and quad exhaust outlets. Silver 18″ five-spoke alloy wheels are mounted with staggered-width Bridgestone Potenza tires. Braking is handled by Ferrari-branded calipers over four-wheel ventilated and cross-drilled discs.
The beige leather covering the seats, door panels, and lower dashboard was reconditioned in 2019. Carpeted floor mats line the footwells, and interior appointments include a gated shifter located on the center console alongside controls for the air conditioning, rear window defroster, and power windows. The three-spoke leather-wrapped steering wheel frames Veglia instrumentation including a 320-km/h speedometer and a tachometer with a 7,200-rpm redline as well as gauges for oil pressure and coolant temperature. An analog clock and auxiliary gauges for fuel level and oil temperature are housed in the center stack. The six-digit odometer shows 43k kilometers (~27k miles). The Carfax report shows a mileage inconsistency in December 2019 and notes that it may be a result of a “clerical error.”
The 4.9-liter DOHC flat-12 received updates over the version used in the Testarossa including Nikasil cylinder liners, a redesigned intake system, and Bosch engine management. Output was rated at 421 horsepower and 362 lb-ft of torque when new. An engine-out timing belt service was performed in February 2019, and WCDM notes a replacement intake manifold was fitted in May 2020. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a five-speed manual transaxle and a limited-slip differential. Sealant was applied to the underside in February 2019, a replacement clutch was installed in December of that year.
The Carfax report shows the December 2019 mileage inconsistency and lists history in Florida from the initial entry in October 2019 through the most recent entry in May 2022.
