1989 Ferrari F40

Celebrated as the first genuine 200 mph supercar, the <a href="https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/lf24/lots/r0053-1989-ferrari-f40/">1989 Ferrari F40</a> stands as a testament to Ferrari’s unwavering commitment to performance and innovation during the late 20th century. Only 1,311 units of the F40 were constructed between 1987 and 1992, making it a highly sought-after model among discerning collectors. This particular F40 is a European market example, boasting desirable specifications such as non-adjustable suspension and a non-catalytic converter, which are prized by purists for preserving the car’s original driving dynamics.
 
Finished in the classic Rosso Corsa with a Stoffa Vigogna interior, this F40 retains its original color combination, enhancing its timeless appeal. The vehicle boasts a documented odometer reading of just 20,921 kilometers, indicative of its limited use and meticulous preservation over the years.

Offered for the first time in 15 years, this F40 has been under the care of its current custodian since 2009. Throughout its ownership, the vehicle has received comprehensive maintenance from Modena Cars SA, including the renewal of fuel cells and a major service in May 2024. Additionally, the car achieved a Ferrari Classiche certification in December 2016, confirming its matching-numbers chassis, engine, and gearbox.

The F40 was born out of a unique collaboration between Ferrari’s racing and road car divisions. Utilizing the robust 288 GTO Evoluzione chassis and a twin-turbo V8 engine, the F40 was engineered to deliver exhilarating performance while celebrating Ferrari’s 40th anniversary. With a power output of 478 horsepower and a top speed of 201 mph, the F40 was the fastest production car in the world at the time of its release.
 
Chassis number 83052 has been meticulously maintained and showcased at prestigious events such as the Ferrari Owners’ Club Concours d’Elegance in 2001. Its journey from Maranello to the UK and subsequent certification by Ferrari Classiche highlights its exceptional provenance and enduring legacy.
 
2020 McLaren Senna GTR LM

The <a href="https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/lf24/lots/r0066-2020-mclaren-senna-gtr-lm/">2020 McLaren Senna GTR LM</a> is one of the rarest and most sought-after variants ever produced by the British marque. Developed in-house by McLaren Special Operations to celebrate the 25th anniversary of the F1 GTR’s victorious debut at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Senna GTR LM underscores McLaren’s advanced engineering expertise and deep-rooted racing heritage.
 
Only five Senna GTR LM editions were built, each honoring one of the five F1 GTRs that competed in the 1995 24 Hours of Le Mans. This particular example is the sole Senna GTR LM finished in Harrods livery, inspired by F1 GTR chassis 06R. The vibrant Solar Yellow over Heritage Green color scheme, combined with a meticulously hand-painted design which took over 800 hours to complete, makes this car a true work of art.
 
Under the hood, the Senna GTR LM is powered by a potent twin-turbocharged V8 engine, delivering an impressive 833 brake horsepower and 800 Nm of torque. The rev limit has been raised to 9,000 rpm, enhancing its performance capabilities. With a dry weight of just 1,188 kilograms, this hypercar achieves a blistering 0-60 mph time, making it one of McLaren’s fastest and most agile road cars.

This Senna GTR LM has been meticulously maintained, showcasing only 1,003 kilometers since new. It comes complete with a spare Senna GTR engine, wet-weather tires, and wheels, ensuring it remains in prime condition. The interior features FIA-specification carbon fiber bucket seats with six-point harnesses, titanium nitride pedals, and a bespoke steering wheel adorned with anodized gold control buttons—details that reflect its racing origins and luxurious craftsmanship.
 
Owned exclusively since new, this McLaren Senna GTR LM has been exhibited twice at the prestigious Salon Privé held at Blenheim Palace, further attesting to its exceptional status. The car’s unique Harrods livery and limited production make it a standout example, rarely seen outside of McLaren’s private circles.

Each vehicle was completed by Ferrari Tailor Made, ensuring that every customized detail met the specific tastes of its racing clients.
 
Powered by a twin-turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 engine producing 710 horsepower at 8,000 rpm, the <a href="https://rmsothebys.com/auctions/lf24/lots/r0052-2019-ferrari-488-pista-piloti-ferrari/">488 Pista ‘Piloti Ferrari’</a> offers a formidable driving experience. Paired with a seven-speed F1 dual-clutch transmission, this supercar can sprint from 0-60 mph in just 2.8 seconds, reaching a top speed of 211 mph. The enhanced engine performance is complemented by a suspension lifter system and titanium exhaust pipes, ensuring both speed and agility.
 
This particular 488 Pista boasts an exceptionally low odometer reading of just 426 miles, reflecting its sparing use and meticulous maintenance. The car is equipped with numerous desirable optional extras, including extensive carbon fiber applications, Apple CarPlay integration, and front and rear parking sensors. Special features like the number “39” painted on both doors, a glossy carbon-look rear spoiler, and red leather dashboard details add to its uniqueness and allure.
