For the 2016 Porsche (981) Boxster Spyder, Porsche packed a GT4 drivetrain including a 3.8-liter flat-six engine (slightly detuned of 10bhp) that now generates 370 horsepower and 309 lb-ft of torque and identical 6 speed, sweet and precise manual transmission, electro-mechanical power steering straight from the 911 Turbo and brakes from 911 Carrera S. a special set up as this was the first time Porsche decided to put a 911 S engine in their mid engine layouts. The Spyder gets to 100 km/h in only 4.5 seconds and reaches a top speed recorded at 290 kmh. The aggressive looking front and rear bumpers as well as the rear buttresses behind the passengers head is what makes this Boxster stand out amongst the rest of its variants cosmetically. Not to mention the partial power roof that allows for reduced weight along with the inner pull tab door handles.
