ABOUT THIS VEHICLE

We are proud to present our fully restored 1967 Porsche 911 R Tribute, meticulously built in-house by Gaswerks Garage. The 911R is regarded as the lightest, purest, and most valuable early 911 ever produced, with only 4 factory prototypes and 20 production examples built. Original 911R models now command upwards of $1.2MM. This tribute faithfully honors that legacy. This project began with an original, rust-free 911 chassis finished in correct Light Ivory (Paint Code 6604 per original C.O.A.) over black interior. The donor car was exceptionally solid with ZERO rust or body issues, allowing this build to retain its original factory Light Ivory paint. Because the body was so well preserved, no repaint was required a rare and significant detail in an early 911 restoration. Gaswerks Garage performed a complete, ground-up, nut-and-bolt restoration. Every mechanical and structural component was removed, refinished, rebuilt, or replaced. The car underwent a full rotisserie restoration with the drivetrain, suspension, braking, and fuel systems completely rebuilt in-house. The undercarriage is fully detailed to show-quality standards. Every stage of the teardown and rebuild was completed on-site by our team at Gaswerks Garage. The engine, transmission, suspension, braking system, wiring, and fuel systems were rebuilt to OEM specification with period-correct 911R performance enhancements. The result is a lightweight, purpose-built drivers car weighing approximately 1,850 pounds and producing over 200 horsepower from its 2.0L twin-plug engine. ENGINE: Fully rebuilt 2.0L twin plug with mag case upgrades, dowel-pinned case halves, oil bypass modification, Time-Sert cylinder head studs and 8mm case studs, line-bored case, deck height checked, coated rod bearings, 3.2 Carrera oil pump, Pauter rods, JE pistons, Elgin camshafts, twin plug heads, titanium valve springs, new intake and exhaust valves, high performance timing chains, Viton gaskets and seals, Magneti Marelli twin plug distributor, 46mm PMO carburetors, and fiberglass amber shroud. TRANSMISSION & CHASSIS: Rebuilt transmission with posi unit, lightweight flywheel, performance clutch kit, rebuilt axles and CV joints, new engine mounts, new suspension bushings, new Koni shocks and struts, new aluminum front suspension beam, new wheel bearings front and rear, and complete new brake system including master cylinder, lines, rotors, calipers, pads, and stainless brake hoses. Aligned and corner balanced. New wiring harness, 100L fuel tank with matching sending unit, dual Bendix fuel pumps, new oil tank and lines, Optima battery and alternator, Bosch headlights, new windshield and seal, new rear window, R quarter windows, gear reduction starter, and all new clutch, speedometer, battery, and accelerator cables. INTERIOR: Lightweight seats with corduroy inserts, Britax vintage seat belts, 911R steering wheel, original date-coded green face gauges with 10K tach, refinished leather dashboard, new sun visors, new door panels with original door pulls, vintage 4-point roll bar, updated shifter with new coupler, and rebuilt pedal assembly with bronze bushings. WHEELS & TIRES: 15x6 Fuchs wheels wrapped in Pirelli CN36 tires. Gaswerks Garage engineered this 911R Tribute to remain as true to factory specification as possible while delivering an exhilarating, tactile air-cooled driving experience. Every nut and bolt was addressed in this comprehensive in-house restoration. With just 369 miles shown since completion, this is a rare opportunity to own a professionally built homage to one of Porsches most iconic competition cars retaining its original factory Light Ivory paint.

CURATED is not a traditional dealership or restoration facility, we are historians committed to preserving Vintage Supercars.

We take great pride as we document the legacies of these rare examples of automotive history, honoring their past and assuring their future.

Founded in 2015 by car aficionado John Temerian and business impresario Jordi Ricart, CURATED specializes in Vintage Blue Chip European Automobiles — specifically low production cars built between the 1970s and the early 2000s. Passionately believing the automobile is a viable and consistent alternative investment asset class, and betting on this specific era of iconic supercars, we continue to pave the way for the next generation of collectors.

With a keen focus on the highest quality Lamborghini and Ferrari examples coupled with an unwavering dedication to the highest standards of excellence and sincerity, our founders quickly began making their mark within this emerging sector of collectibles. Soon, Temerian and Ricart found a like-minded mentor in entrepreneur Alan Lazowski: business mogul, philanthropist and founder of LAZ Parking. Known for his people-first leadership style, unconditional kindness, and his steadfast tenacity, Lazowski joined as partner in late 2015. Four years later, another perfectly congruent partner was found in Jim Goetz, one of the most significant global tech investors, and the former CEO of Sequoia Capital. Goetz, oft revered for his integrity, transparency and dedication to helping others, brings yet another unique perspective to the mix, again guided by this shared North Star.

Today, CURATED is known as an international brand for discovering one-off 1980 and 1990s icons. Our pursuit of unique Analog Supercars is celebrated and depended upon, as is our unmatched commitment to meticulous restoration. Having procured over 500 European Supercars produced in the 1970s, 1980s, 1990s and early 2000s, CURATED has indeed made our mark on the industry as one of the most knowledgeable and well-respected authorities within our niche

Please remember, every one of our cars has been enjoyed by their original owners, and these are not factory-new cars. This means they have actually been driven, and regardless of the level of care, every car will exhibit some wear-and-tear. Our vehicles are advertised with the current mileage at the time of listing, so mileage at the time of sale may vary due to test drives, transportation for reconditioning, etc. We go above and beyond to be as accurate as possible in our listings and descriptions, but remember, we are still human just like you. Cars leave the factory with unattached accessories (i.e. floor mats, extra keys, owners manuals, headsets, remotes, etc), and while it would be ideal to have all original accessories included with every car, this is not always the case. We will note in our listings any accessories that will be included, and provide a picture within the listing of all accessories. We do all within our power to avoid mistakes or misprints, so if you see any inaccuracy within our listing, we only ask that you bring this to our attention so that we can immediately rectify the information. We cannot be held responsible for any purely accidental inaccuracies. Since our ultimate goal is 100% customer satisfaction, we ask every customer to verify the listed equipment at the time of purchase with their salesperson. Please do not make any assumptions regarding condition or equipment. If you have any questions or concerns, call us at (630) 221-1800 and ask to speak with a sales manager to discuss. We also ask that you not misinterpret anything in this disclaimer, as it is intended to be understood exactly as it is written. We are here to provide only the very best in quality and customer service! All sales must add tax, title, license and $300.00 Illinois Doc fee. Fees may vary by state and county of new vehicle registration. Contact dealer for details.
