FERRARI OF NAPLES is proud to present an extraordinarily rare and collectible 2001 Ferrari 550 Barchetta Pininfarina, finished in the timeless combination of Rosso Corsa over Nero leather, showing just 5,271 miles from new. One of the most exclusive modern Ferraris ever produced, this exceptional example benefits from a major service completed last year, is believed to have had only two owners from new, and remains in stunning cosmetic and mechanical condition. Built to celebrate the 70th anniversary of legendary design house Pininfarina, the 550 Barchetta was produced in strictly limited numbers, with only 448 examples manufactured worldwide. This particular car is especially significant as Barchetta number 13 of 448, making it one of the earliest production examples of Ferrari's celebrated open-top V12 grand tourer. Powered by Ferrari's magnificent 5.5-liter naturally aspirated V12, producing 478 horsepower and paired with a traditional six-speed gated manual transmission, the 550 Barchetta delivers one of the purest and most rewarding driving experiences of the modern Ferrari era. Combining the performance of the acclaimed 550 Maranello with open-air motoring and extremely limited production, the Barchetta has become one of the most sought-after collector Ferraris of the 21st century. Chassis 123685 was delivered new to Monaco to a significant Ferrari collector who maintained residences and vehicle collections between Monaco and the United States. The car was subsequently imported into the United States and professionally federalized by G & K Auto Conversions in 2003, one of the most respected names in European vehicle importation and compliance. Following federalization, the car was registered and carefully maintained in Arizona, where it remained for the vast majority of its life before recently changing hands. Based on available history, the car is believed to have had only two owners from new, further enhancing its desirability and collector appeal. Showing only 5,271 original miles, this 550 Barchetta presents in truly exceptional condition throughout. The Rosso Corsa paintwork exhibits outstanding depth and gloss, while the Nero leather interior remains beautifully preserved, reflecting the careful stewardship and limited use the car has enjoyed since new.
