At the time, it was the most focused road-going V8 Ferrari ever built lighter, louder, faster, and more visceral than the standard 360. Ferrari reduced weight by approximately 240 pounds through extensive use of carbon fiber, thinner glass, stripped sound insulation, and lightweight components throughout. The result was a car tipping the scales at just over 2,800 pounds, delivering an extraordinary power-to-weight ratio. Its 3.6-liter naturally aspirated V8 produced 425 horsepower and was paired exclusively with the F1 electro-hydraulic transmission, recalibrated for dramatically faster shift times.
