This Iris Blue Metallic, 911 Turbo was imported into Japan for a discerning collector for his private collection through the reputable Mizwa Motors. Built into a 993 GT2 "Tribute" using factory widebody kit, revised gearing, upgraded ARC intercooler, OEM suspension and speedline wheels. Broad Arrow/ Vintage Shogun Group and Cars USA helped acquire and import it from Japan for the current owner.
The car has gone through an extensive engine out restoration including OEM GT2 Turbos and hardware, OEM GT2 intercooler, GT2 exhaust, GT2 uprights, adjustable upper and lower control arms, sway bars, end links, OEM GT2 steering rack and stabilizer, Bilstein PSS10 coilovers, short throw shifter and golden rod & GT2 specific 3-piece Speedline wheels w/ magnesium centers shod with Michelin Pilot Sport 4S tires. The ECU was remapped to adjust to the additional power and features variable boost using GT OEM mapping. In keeping with the Rest of World theme, all ROW GT OEM lighting was imported and installed - headlights, taillights, fog lights and turn signals. A Bergville FX HID low and high beam kit was also installed.
The car underwent a cosmetic revitalization by the experts who dismantled the body kit and corrected the original paint. They then applied PPF and ceramic coating.
The interior was brought up to spec, by installing a lightweight OEM GT2 steering wheel and shifter, Porsche sport hardback seats with matching Iris blue backs, a build sheet matching Becker CR210 stereo with Bluetooth® capabilities and a Focal speaker/ amplifier upgrade.
The work was conducted in collaboration with a Porsche specialist -- European Performance, Porsche Classic, XPEL, AutoPaint Guard, Michelin, Becker Audio, Fister Motorsports, Rennline, among others. Number matching car verified by a Porsche Classic Technical Certificate.
It comes with rare OEM parts including, but not limited to a GT2 lightweight wheel jack, Porsche Classic owner's bag, Porsche Classic driving gloves, fuse box, tire compressor, Japan only Purple "VIP" light, all original owner's manual, booklets and maintenance records and a Porsche Classic GT2 car cover. (All of which came with the car when it was purchased from Japan.)
The goal was to build the ultimate 993 GT2 Tribute that can be enjoyed with the family. This effort has been recognized, by the car winning a class award at The Amelia Island Concours and Radwood - Best of Show, in 2024. Showcased at events and on social media, including, Porsche Rennsport Reunion 7, Porsche Club Werks Reunion, Porsche Club of America's YouTube channel among others..
